Emily Rizo Davis graduated from Sonoma State University in 2015 with a B.A. in Modern Dance. Her education is influenced by Laban Movement, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and Liz Lerman Critical Response. Since obtaining her degree, she co-founded Together. Dance Collective, choreographed for the community organization ArtsAlive, and performed in various venues from “open mic” nights to large performances in the Hult Center for the Performing Arts in GLOW Variety Show, a benefit for the Trauma Healing Project, in Eugene, Oregon. Her work was selected as part of the Videofenster 2021 project in Cologne, Germany, and as part of the Kindling Arts Festival 2022 in Nashville Tennessee. Her most recent performances include Obsession with Found Movement Group, and Four Short Stories presented by The FOUNDation in Nashville, TN.
